GRUNDFOS, one of the largest heating pump manufacturers, has installed 3 INTERTEX TowerMat vertical stores in its shipping and logistics center in Bjerringbro, Denmark. This is where orders for shipping globally are order picked and put into interim storage in the storage system. The pallets and wooden boxes are put into and taken out of storage with a forklift truck. An integrated lifting station guarantees the safety of the storage goods, which stores the pallets safely in the system cassettes. Selection of the desired pallet is by bar code on the forklift truck directly. This dramatically reduces handling and waiting times, since the driver does not need to get out. Effective order picking is guaranteed in this way. All the storage systems are connected to the SAP.
