Vega is a leading global manufacturer of level, limit level and pressure measurement technology for process automation. The family company employs over 1.700 people worldwide. 800 of them work at the Vega Headquarter in Schiltach in the Black Forest.
In cooperation with Kardex, we installed a TowerMat storage lift to store 6,5 meter long pipes. The 27 meter high cassette lift offers up to 300 tons of storage load on a floor space of just 35m². The individual modules were pre-assembled and lifted into a 30 meter high shaft by a crane. A maximum of 118 cassettes ultimately offers a storage are of 636m² in the system with a storage volume of 195m³.
